Let’s Dance by Gabriel Bibliowicz (Israel, 2010, 52 min.).  This buoyant, illuminating documentary goes beyond doing the horah (although that is part of the story) to a striking panorama of Israeli modern dance, from expressionism to modernism, including footage of Martha Graham arriving in Israel to share her techniques.  With vivid performances from many of Israel’s most innovative contemporary choreographers, this film shows how dance has been central to the Israeli story since the pioneering kibbutzniks. Introduced by Avital Manor Peleg, Director of Cultural Affairs, Consulate General of Israel to New England. Discussion to follow.  North American Premiere.
