Let’s Sin (Itirazim var) by Onur Ünlü (2014, 110 min.). When a murder is committed at his mosque and the police appear to take little interest, imam Selman Bulut rolls up his sleeves to solve the crime. Selman’s methods, however, are as unorthodox as he is. This murder mystery, in which everyone is a suspect, contains long-hidden secrets, lies, a loan shark’s money, a ravenous dog, and, of course, love.
A discussion with the director follows the screening. The Boston Turkish Film Festival Excellence in Turkish Cinema Award Ceremony follows the discussion.
