Paris-Manhattan by Sophie Lellouche (France, 2012, 80 min.). In this charming romantic comedy with a big nod to Woody Allen, a young woman's choices in life and love are shaped by the philosophies of her favorite filmmaker. Idealistic pharmacist Alice is totally obsessed with the works of Allen, continually quotes lines from his films and even prescribes her customers DVDs of his movies to help alleviate their ailments. With Alice still single and in her 30s, her parents set her up with a handsome man, but can he overcome Allen? "Utterly endearing. As bubbly and lively as Paris in spring,” Le Figaro.
