Sivas by Kaan Müjdeci (2014, 96 min.). In the Anatolian moorlands, young Aslan pushes to be the prince in his school’s production of “Snow White.” His chances, however, are slim: he is competing with Osman, son of the village chief, for the part. When Aslan finds Sivas, a fighter Kangal dog left for dead by his owner, he uses Sivas to help shift the neighborhood balance of power in his favor.
