What’s the Time in Your World (Dar donya ye to saat chand ast?) by Safi Yazdanian (2014, 101 min., DCP). On a sudden whim, Goli (Leila Hatami, A Separation) decides to return to her hometown in Iran after 20 years of living in France. Farhad (Ali Mosaffa), a frame maker by trade, comes to welcome her at the airport. He seems to know her well, but the young woman has absolutely no recollection of him. Farhad’s path intersects Goli’s at every turn, and begins Goli’s deeper investigation into her memory and identity. “A delicate, understated exploration of memory, personal history, and our perceptions of the past” (The Hollywood Reporter).
