An all-encompassing, passionate—but ultimately doomed—love between the free spirited Catherine Earnshaw (Binoche) and Heathcliff (Ralph Fiennes) eventually destroys them and the people they love. This particular adaptation of Emily Bronte’s novel is notable for including the often-omitted, second-generation story Catherine’s children, her brother Hindley, and Healthcliff.
