Join artist Raul Gonzalez in a discussion about his role as lead artist for the CAI project, "And their Families." The exhibition, a collaboration with over one hundred Boston-area boys and girls, explored portraiture using photography, found objects, and hand-drawn portraits to create a stunning narrative about the cutlures and families that make up a typical American city. Gonzalez will discuss early American folk art portraits as well as contemporary artists who use found objects and narrative in their work to create works of art.
