Explore the tools and materials that artists use right in the galleries during this weekly drop-in program. Handle artist’s tools and view demonstration pieces that reveal the step-by-step process behind the creation of objects in the Museum’s collection. Discover how a blank canvas is turned into a finished painting or a block of stone transforms into a sculpture. Knowledgeable staff are available to answer your questions and discuss techniques. Learn about painting, mosaics, marble sculpture, furniture design, and Japanese woodblock prints. This program takes place most Wednesday evenings and weekend afternoons. Free with Museum admission.
