Musical Instrument Gallery Talk and Demostration

Berklee College of Music student Mariel Vandersteel will demonstrate the unique sound and playing technique of the Norwegian Hardanger fiddle (hardingfele), and discuss its construction and folklore. She will play an instrument from her own collection, and two historical instruments belonging to the MFA will be on hand for comparison.
