MFA curator Darcy Kuronen presents a musical tour of selected pieces from the Museum’s wonderful collection of keyboard instruments. He discusses the history, design, and repertoire for Italian and French harpsichords, Italian and German clavichords, an English grand piano and American square piano, an English chamber organ, and an American reed organ. To conclude the program he performs on the MFA’s recently acquired Storytone electric piano, introduced at the 1939 New York World’s Fair.
