Musical Instrument Gallery Talk and Demonstration
Local musicians Donald and Anicét Heller will discuss and demonstrate the curious stringed instrument called the hurdy-gurdy, with a look at its history, manufacture, and repertoire. The Hellers will demonstrate modern hurdy-gurdies from their own collection, and two nineteenth-century instruments belonging to the Museum will be on hand for discussion and comparison.
