Musical Instrument Gallery Talk and Demonstration

Local performer Shin-Yi Yang will talk about the history, construction, and repertoire of the qin, a long zither played in China for over three thousand years. Ms. Yang will perform on her own instrument from the nineteenth century, and two historical examples from the MFA collection will be on hand for examination and discussion.
