Local performer Sarah Paysnick speaks on the history, repertoire, and musical role of flutes from the Baroque era, from about 1650 to 1750. Using various flutes from the Museum’s collection (and from her own), Paysnick demonstrates period repertoire appropriate to each instrument. Flutes by Chevalier, Engelhard, and Oberlender are included in the demonstration.
