Musical Instruments Gallery Talk and Demonstration

MFA Curator Darcy Kuronen will provide a look at some of the unusual and experimental violins in the MFA’s collection, including trapezoidal and cornerless models, an instrument with a metal horn, an example that doubles as a walking stick, and a very recent design made from carbon fiber. Berklee College and New England Conservatory graduate Helen Sherrah-Davies will provide live demonstrations of these musical curiosities.
