Sassan Tabatabai is a poet, translator and scholar of medieval Persian poetry. He teaches Humanities and Persian Literature at Boston University and Boston College and is the Head of the Persian Language Program at Boston University. He is the author of Father of Persian Verse: Rudaki and his Poetry (Leiden University Press, 2010) and Uzunburun: Poems (The Pen and Anvil Press, 2011).
