Mixed Taste: Tag-Team Lectures on Unrelated Topics
Unscripted. Unexpected. But always enlightening.
Callie Crossley, Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award-winning television and radio broadcaster
Yvonne Markowitz, Rita J. Kaplan and Susan B. Kaplan Curator of Jewelry
Lois Solomon, head, Lectures and Courses
Mixed Taste returns to the MFA with “Race and Rocks,” a conversation between Callie Crossley and Yvonne Markowitz. Crossley presents her views on the contemporary black experience, and Markowitz discusses stones, precious and otherwise. Following their short talks, the experts—together with the audience’s help—find relationships and piece together unique insights and comical tones. A taste of lemonade and rock candy follows the discussion.
With participation from Catalyst, the MFA’s audience development initiative.
Mixed Taste is a program developed by the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. The presentation at the MFA is produced independently with permission.
