Comprised of stellar musicians from across the globe, the Boston Conservatory Honors Quartet uses a global perspective to present chamber music at its finest.

  • Antoni Josef Inacay, cello, was born in Manila. In 2005, he won the top prize at the Philippine's National Music Competition for Young Artists. For the past seven years, he served as the principal cellist of the Manila Symphony Orchestra and is currently on leave to pursue his graduate studies with Rhonda Rider at The Boston Conservatory.
  • Thomas Hofmann, violin, was born in Tokyo, Japan, beginning his violin studies at the age of two. He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree with Ms. Sharan Leventhal at The Boston Conservatory. He has won the Boston Conservatory Chamber Honors Competition for three consecutive years, and has performed at the Bowdoin International Festival in the summer of 2011. He also plays an active role in the orchestral scene in Boston, serving as the concertmaster of the Dorchester Symphony and the Boston Chamber Orchestra.
  • Wen-Tso Chen, violin, was born in Changhua, Taiwan, beginning her piano studies at the age of seven, and started learning the violin when she was ten. She finished bachelor at Tainan National University of the Arts, and is now pursuing her Master’s degree with Mr. Lynn Chang at the Boston Conservatory. Wen-Tso participated the Aspen Music Festival and School in 2006 and 2011, and was invited to play at the Tanglewood Music Festival where she served as concertmaster for Mr. Christoph Eschnbach at Tanglewood. She has been holding the Hsing Tian Kong (long term) Scholarship for Talented Students since 2008. The violin she currently plays is a 1902 Rocca sponsoredby the Chi-Mei foundation.
  • Chung-Han Hsiao, viola, was born in 1987 in Taiwan, where she began her violin studies at the age of seven. After three years she switched her instrument to viola in which she is currently earning a masters at The Boston Conservatory. She received many performance opportunities in Taiwan while she was in college, such as playing inthe Taipei Century Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Purely Professional Orchestra among others. She also formed a string quartet and won the first prize of Taiwan National competition.
