A team of New England Conservatory students have banded together to take back Valentine’s Day—replacing greeting cards, stale chocolates, and overpriced roses with new music, a new way to experience the museum’s collection, and maybe make a few new friends. Take off your rose-colored glasses and soak in images and sounds from classic to cutting edge. The concert will include performances that pair music with objects from the museum that capture love’s many shades. Highlights include Goya’s EL Amor Y La Muerte with the passionate music of Enrique Granados and Warhol’s chilling Jackie with a new work from one of NEC’s emerging composers. Come for one piece or the whole concert—you curate the experience.
