Lorraine and Bennett Hammond both began singing and playing and making up their own music as children. Lorraine is a tradition-bearer of Appalachian Mountain music and is considered the word's finest player of the fretted dulcimer. Bennett's admitted influences are the three B's: Bach, Bluegrass and Bo Diddley. They have been performing together since 1986.
