The Boston Conservatory presents Ralph Vaughan Williams' Riders to the Sea.
Based on the Irish drama by John Millington Synge, the opera is set in a coastal Irish town in which the livelihood and prosperity of the community is both dependent upon and at odds with the sea. One family's story explores the sacrifices made in the pursuit of duty and the resulting repeated devastation of loss. Performed in-the-round as an immersive operatic experience.
