A selection of expressive Dutch drawings from the Museum’s collection ranging in date from the 1620s to the 1890s, from the rise of the native Dutch landscape to later nineteenth-century realism and symbolism. The artists include Rembrandt, the Hague School, watercolorists Anton Mauve and Jacob Maris, the early Van Gogh, the symbolist Jan Toorop, and many fascinating lesser-knowns.
