The revival of lost styles is one of the most enduring qualities of American jewelry and decorative arts of the 19th and 20th centuries. Celebrate the opening of Revival Jewelry with a special tour by Rita J. Kaplan and Susan B. Kaplan Curator of Jewelry Emily Stoehrer, and join AOA curators to discuss American objects in the exhibition, including those by William Morris Hunt, Louis Comfort Tiffany, and John Paul Miller. This tour will be followed by a special presentation of related examples of Revival-inspired objects from the MFA’s encyclopedic collection pulled from the vaults especially for this occassion. Discussion about Revivals will continue over a wine and cheese reception.
