Celebrate Sargent at the MFA. Rent a mobile MFA Guide for an up-close look at his unconventional approach to watercolors, and hear from curators, conservators, and experts on the art and life of this celebrated painter. Available at all ticket desks, Sharf Visitor Center, and Gund Gallery, LG31

Featured Exhibitions

The Museum has an incredible array of exhibitions this fall; be sure to visit “Hippie Chic” if the spirit of the ‘60s moves you, or if nature is your calling, don’t miss “Audubon’s Birds, Audubon’s Words” —a great show for children too! “Think Pink” opens to the public October 3 and “John Singer Sargent Watercolors” opens October 13. Don’t miss “She Who Tells a Story” featuring women photographers from Iran and the Arab World and be sure to visit the new Benin Kingdom Gallery highlighting rare West African works of art.
