The Robert Owen Lehman Collection of 34 ancient works in bronze and ivory transformed the MFA’s collection of African art, providing new opportunities for research and collaboration. Join Barbara Martin, Alfond Curator of Education, and the designer of the gallery, Keith Crippen, for a discussion of the aesthetic qualities and context of several extraordinary works, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the installation process in the gallery. This is a joint program with the Heritage Remixed Friends of the MFA.
