Today the diamond is the king of gems, two thousand years ago it was the gem of kings. Speaker Jack Ogden, International Ambassador of the Gemological Association of Great Britain, will trace the history of diamonds from the earliest times up to the dawn of the modern era. Laurel Society members join the Fashion Council for this exclusive lecture to celebrate the loan of a Roman diamond ring to the MFA.
