"Permission To Be Global" debuts in New England over 50 contemporary Latin American works from the collection of Ella Fontanals-Cisneros and her Foundation, CIFO. The exhibition explores why and how experimental artists from across the Caribbean, Central and South America became integral to discourses on contemporary art after years of exclusion from art historical canons in their own countries and abroad. Join Jen Mergel, Beal Senior Curator of Contemporary Art, and Liz Munsell, Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art and MFA Programs, for a tour of the exhibition followed by a private reception.
