The MFA’s iconic Pair Statue of Menkaura and Queen, a masterpiece of royal sculpture from the Pyramid Age, has traditionally been regarded as unique among the king’s sculpture. Hear Egyptologist Florence Dunn Friedman, adjunct professor, Brown University, present evidence that there may have been more than one. The lecture includes a viewing of Egyptian sculpture fragments from storage, and is followed by a reception in the Art of the Ancient World office.

This is a private event for  Lotus Society participants.
