Wednesdays, Ten-week session, Oct 3 to Dec 19 (No Class Oct 17 and Nov 21)
Course Description: You will start out exploring the different uses of marks and smudges and broad areas of color plus tools like cloth, cotton balls and swabs, stumps, and fingers. You will learn about fixatives and their substitutes. You will explore blending of colors and creating the colors you want. Different types of paper will be used such as tinted paper, white ground paper, and professional grade pastel paper. No previous painting or drawing experience is required.
Instructor: Glenn W Davis
Glenn W Davis is a graduate of Suffolk University’s New England School of Art. He has been making art of one kind or another for over twenty-five years. He has dabbled in oils, acrylics, and graphite. He focuses on pen & ink, watercolor, and pastel for much of his recent work. In the past, he has been a freelance illustrator and has had exhibitions in Boston, Provincetown, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket. He is currently being represented by the 13 Forest Gallery in Arlington, MA.
