Thursday, Ten-week session, Oct 4 to Dec 13 (No Class Nov 22)
Course Description: Working exclusively in the galleries, use the Museum collection as inspiration to focus on the fundamentals of drawing: line, composition, proportion, perspective, light, and shadow. Enhance observational sensibilites as you learn how to record what you see, while emphasizing creativity. You may bring your own supplies; a list of required materials is distributed during first class.

Julie Miller received her MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, in affiliation with Tufts University in 2006. Selected exhibitions include: “Julie Miller Recent Work” at Steven Zevitas Gallery, Boston (’09); “A Community of Artists Annual Juried Exhibition,” Danforth Museum of Art, Framingham, MA (’10); “I-95 Triennial Invitational Exhibition,” University of Maine Museum of Art, Bangor (’10); “What If?” Axiom Center for New and Experimental Media, Boston (’10); and “Anonyme Zeichner” Kunstraum Kreuzberg Berlin, Germany (’09). She also teaches at the Art Institute of Boston and the College of the Holy Cross.
