Thursdays, Ten-week session, Jan 3 through Mar 14 (No class Feb 21)

Course Description: Working primarily in the galleries, this course explores fundamental elements of drawing, including line, texture, shading and composition. Observation skills and eye-hand coordination are emphasized.  Participants experiment with a variety of drawing materials: graphite, charcoal, and conte pencils.

Instructor: Maureen Albano

Maureen Albano received her Master of Fine Arts degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art, and has studied art in France and Italy. She has taught gallery/studio programs and co-written museum resources at The Carnegie Museum of Art and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Her drawings and sculptures have been exhibited nationally, and explore the relationship between mind and matter.
