Dates: Wednesdays, September 25-December 4 (No class November 27)

Course Description: Working in the galleries and studio, use the Museum collection as inspiration to focus on the fundamentals of drawing: line, composition, proportion, perspective, light, and shadow. Enhance observational sensibilites as you learn how to record what you see, while emphasizing creativity. You may bring your own supplies; a list of required materials is distributed during first class.

 

Instructor: Maureen Albano

Maureen Albano received her Master of Fine Arts degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art, and has studied art in France and Italy. She has taught gallery/studio programs and co-written museum resources at The Carnegie Museum of Art and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Her drawings and sculptures have been exhibited nationally, and explore the relationship between mind and matter.
