Course Description: This course will improve your drawing skills and increase your eye/hand coordination. Learn to draw accurately through the use of measuring and perspective. Line, shape and composition will be explored through the observation of nature. Value will be studied using charcoal.
Instructor: Judy Ryan
Judy Ryan received her MFA in Painting from Boston University and a BFA in Painting from the University of Illinois. She has in depth experience as a painting conservator and received specialized training in traditional drawing and painting in an atelier in Boston. Throughout her career, she has received several grants and awards for artists, including the Frances A. Kinnicutt Foreign Travel Award. She continues to maintain a work studio and residence in Boston at the historic Fenway Studios Artist’s Cooperative where she actively serves on the Board of Directors.
