One-Day Workshop: Saturday, April 20

Course Description: Give your sweetie a flower that never wilts! During this workshop, students learn basic glass blowing theory to produce brilliantly colorful glass flowers.

The MFA is delighted to present programming with Diablo Glass School. Located just blocks from the MFA—easily accessible by foot, car, or public transportation—Diablo is a place where beginning and professional artists share a nurturing environment, which encourages growth and development in an inviting atmosphere. Diablo offers a diverse range of classes including glassblowing, flame working, kiln forming, and stained glass. The interdisciplinary approach to studio glass offers students a broad spectrum of opportunities. Students of all ages have found endless forms of expression at the Diablo studio. Many courses include a tour of the Museum’s glass collection with discussion of the history of glass, different techniques, and artistic inspiration. All tools and materials are provided.
