Learn to draw from observation in graphite, and then charcoal. In the second half of the session, move on to the fundamentals of how to make a painting from prepping the surface, to a finished work of art.

About the Instructor
Jason Chase is an artist who lives in Somerville. He moved here from his hometown of Colorado Springs in 2000 to study with the artist John Walker at Boston University where he went on to receive a Masters in Fine Arts in Painting in 2003. He has exhibited his paintings of bright colorful Americana in in Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City. He is currently represented in Boston by the Gold(Au) Gallery on Tremont Street. In addition to painting he is an instructor in the Artful Adventures program at the MFA, and teaches drawing and painting at the college level in and around the Boston area.
