Using pencils, ink, and sketchbooks, explore the interior, atmosphere, light, and local pub patrons, while learning basic drawing skills, and enjoying a pint or two.  Each week, the class will meet at a different pub located in the Boston - Cambridge neighborhoods. Registered students will be contacted before the first class in regards to the meeting location.  Students must be 21+. Appropriate to all levels of drawing.

About the Instructor

Jason Chase is an artist who lives in Somerville. He moved here from his hometown of Colorado Springs in 2000 to study with the artist John Walker at Boston University where he went on to receive a Masters in Fine Arts in Painting in 2003. He has exhibited his paintings of bright colorful Americana in in Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City. He is currently represented in Boston by the Gold(Au) Gallery on Tremont Street. In addition to painting he is an instructor in the Artful Adventures program at the MFA, and teaches drawing and painting at the college level in and around the Boston area.
