Traditional and oil pastel technique will be covered in this class, starting with the basics of how to build images with traditional pastels and a bit of color theory. You will quickly start to make simple observational drawings on paper, mostly still lives and landscapes with weather permitting. Oil pastel technique will be explored as well as the class progresses.
