Dates: Wednesday, Ten-week session, March 27- June 5 (no class April 17)
Course Description: An exciting exploration of techniques, materials, and innovative combinations, experiment with watercolor, acrylic, ink, found objects, and ephemera. Discover collage, printmaking, altered book, photo transfer, monotype, and assemblage techniques, and visit the galleries for reference, inspiration, and demonstrations. You may bring your own supplies; a list of required materials is distributed during first class. Open to all levels.
Instructor: Joan Asquith Shrier
Joan Asquith Shrier has her MFA from Tufts University/School of the Museum of Fine Arts and a BFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her work is in many private and public collections, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She has been teaching in the Boston area for over 25 years.
