Be inspired by various cultures and time periods from the MFA Collection then create and edit your own character. Learn the processes involved in professional character design for animation, movies, comics and children’s books and review various styles in the media. This class will focus on drawing skills, costume design and color theory to create a diverse cast of characters for your own projects.

About the Instructor
Dani Katz studied animation at Tufts/SMFA (BFA 2016) and is the co-creator of the cartoon “Trinity of the Rift.” He specializes in both hand drawn and digitally rendered animation and comics with a personal focus in character development and design and world-building. His work fluctuates between fictional stories, personal works, and experimental short films.
