Have you always wanted to knit but never got started? Are you interested in making your own warm winter clothing? Learn the basics of knitting and get your fiber craft going. In this beginner-level class, you’ll learn techniques such as reading a basic pattern, casting on, knit and purl stitches, binding off, and selecting yarn and needles. Once you have these skills you’ll be well on your way toward creating your own beautiful projects.

Due to the building’s historic architecture, the third-floor classrooms, 305A, 305B, 305D and 305E, are not wheelchair-accessible and must be accessed by stairs. Please let us know in advance if the student has limited mobility; we can make accommodations, including relocating the class to an accessible space.

About the Instructor

Emma O’Leary is a Boston-based printmaker, fiber artist, and papermaker, specializing in lithography and monotyping. Emma received their BFA from Northeastern University (in conjunction with the Museum School) in 2013. They currently work and reside in Boston, MA.
