Friday, Ten-week session, Oct 5 to Dec 14 (No class Nov 23)
Course Description: Gain an intimate understanding of how to conceptualize and construct a portrait. Explore concepts and techniques such as; proportion, structure, features and likeness, to develop accurate and expressive portraits. The class starts with a one session painting and then progresses incrementally into a four session painting. This is an intensive course that meets from 10:15 am to 3:15 pm, each class will allow for a short lunch break. All levels welcome. Media, Oil or acrylic.

Jeffrey Ellse is a Boston based artist whose current work explores everyday objects that sustain and perpetuate modernity. He received his MFA from The Art Institute of Boston in 2009 and BFA 2006. He shows locally has been featured in the Boston Globe, Boston Phoenix, and Artscope. Ellse is also an adjunct professor of Drawing and Painting at the Art Institute of Boston.
