Dates: Wednesdays, Ten-week session, March 27- June 5 (no class April 17)
Course Description: Painting from a live model, study the human form, explore light and color relationships, and experiment with paint application techniques. You may bring your own supplies; a list of required materials is distributed during first class.
Instructor: Ashley Billingsley
Ashley Billingsley received a BFA from the University of Minnesota and an MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University join degree program. She was a 2009 recipient of the Research Grant in Aid awarded by the Tufts University Graduate School of Arts and Science for a series of paintings examining the often unsatisfying relationship between vision and meaning. Recent exhibitions include “Beyond Purview” at the New Art Center in Newton, MA (’10); “Sensed, Unseen,” at GASP Gallery in Brookline, MA (’10); and “Seeing Double” at the Attleboro Art Museum in MA (’10).
