Thursday, Ten-week session, Oct 4 to Dec 13 (No Class Nov 22)
Course Description: This course is a balance of fundamental skills with the camera, an overview of the history of the medium and discussions of where photography is now and where it might go. As an introductory level class, no prior knowledge of cameras is assumed and all technical information will be geared towards beginners. There will also be a few short readings assigned throughout the course to give context to the discussions.
Instructor: Fran Osborn-Blaschke
Fran Osborn-Blaschke is a photographer who graduated from the New England School of Photography professional program. His artistic vision is influenced and inspired by his family, science, astronomy, music and poetry. His photographs have been shown at various venues in the New England area, including the Photographic Resource Center, the Danforth Museum of Art and the Griffin Museum of Photography.
