Dates: Ten-week session, Saturdays, March 23- June 8 (no class April 13 or April 27)
Course Description: Learn to take an idea or story and bring it to life with simple Animation techniques. Explore and study the many methods through which animated films are made, from sequential drawings and stop-motion to computer and 3D animation. Class includes hands-on tutorials in set-design and puppet-making, the class will also feature screenings of hard-to-find and influential short animated films
Instructor: Stephen St. Francis Decky
Stephen St. Francis Decky is an artist and filmmaker originally from the Philadelphia area. His paintings, films, and multi-channel animated videos have appeared in galleries, festivals, and collections nationally and internationally. He is currently working on his Masters Degree from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
