Dates: Monday through Friday, August 5-August 9, 1 pm-4 pm
Course Description: Learn basic printmaking techniques-including mono-, wood-block, linoleum, drypoint printing, and more. Study master prints from the MFA's collections, participate in classroom discussions, and, with technical guidance, create work including at least one edition.
Instructor: Kaitlyn Stubbs
Kaitlyn Stubbs holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting, with Anatomy Certification, from the New York Academy of Art (2012). She earned her BFA in Painting from the University of Georgia (2010). Kaitlyn’s work has been exhibited in galleries in Athens, Georgia; Boston, Brooklyn and New York City. She has travelled extensively through South America, Europe, and Australia. While at NYAA, she received rigorous technical training in oil painting, drawing, anatomy, and printmaking. Living and working in New York City, she is a curator at The Cupping Room in SoHo and is currently preparing for an artist’s residency in Leipzig, Germany.
