Five-Day Intensive: Monday - Frirday, August 15 - August 19

Course Description: Designed for students with an interest in drawing and fashion design. Through this course, students will design and illustrate their own clothing collection while discovering the creative and technical sides of fashion illustration. Students will design mood boards to reveal the inspiration behind their collections, learn about the idealized fashion figure and the croquis, and learn how to capture the details and textures of apparel in their illustrations. Students will use a variety of materials including pencil, colored pencils, and marker to create their illustrations. Some figure or life drawing experience is recommended but not required.

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, offers studio art classes and workshops taught by experienced educators who are also professional artists. Speaker: Cara Wojcik

Speaker Bio: Cara Wojcik received a BFA with concentrations in art history and fashion design at Massachusetts College of Art ('05) and an MAT at Tufts University / School of the Museum of Fine Arts ('09) in art education. She is a licensed instructor of visual art and currently teaches at a Boston area middle school. She also runs a home business creating custom fashion and accessories.
