Dates: Thursday, Ten-week session, Oct 4 to Dec 13 (No class Nov 22)
Course Description: Through the use of landscape photos and still life, you will develop a sensitivity to this medium, and an understanding of how to use wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry watercolor techniques to achieve good results. You will learn the basic elements of composition, development of a color sense, and values. You will get the chance to use heavy and fine quality watercolor paper. Demonstrations of the above techniques is offered with practice on your part. No previous painting or drawing experience is required.

Glenn W Davis is a graduate of Suffolk University’s New England School of Art. He has been making art of one kind or another for over twenty-five years. He has dabbled in oils, acrylics, and graphite. He focuses on pen & ink, watercolor, and pastel for much of his recent work. In the past, he has been a freelance illustrator and has had exhibitions in Boston, Provincetown, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket. He is currently being represented by the 13 Forest Gallery in Arlington, MA.
