Sessions 2 (Workshop)

Course Description: Focus on elements and principles of design in the galleries, then learn to improve drawing skills by looking closely at objects of study. Day 2, Focus on the figure in the galleries, working from Classical and Egyptian sculpture. Measuring proportions, and developing, drawing techniques, with an emphasis on observational drawing.

Instructor:Rosanne Trolan


Rosanne Trolan completed the Certification Program in Art Education at Massachusetts College of Art, attended The Paris American Academy in Paris in a graduate degree program majoring in Painting, and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts with a BFA and a minor in Art History. She is an Art Educator in Special Education at the Cotting School in Lexington, MA, where she has worked for the past 15 years. Currently a member on the advisory Council for the Arts for the Massachusetts Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education, she was unanimously voted for a second three-year term. She recently received the “Award for Excellence in Art Education” from Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
