One-Day Workshop: Sunday, April 21

Workshop Description: Beginning students draw from a still-life while learning foundational observation techniques, such as negative space, measuring, and accurately drawn representation of the objects observed.

Please bring the following required materials with you:
3-5 sheets of 18"x24" white drawing paper
chamois cloth
soft vine charcoal
kneaded eraser
aerosol hairspray.

Instructor: Karina Kadiyska

Karina Kadiyska earned her bachelor’s degree in painting (‘99) and master’s degree in sculpture (‘01), both from Boston University. Prior to her studies at BU, Karina received a solid academic art training in Moscow, and after graduating from the masters’ program, she spent two years in Carrara, Italy, further studying sculpture. Karina works both in 2-D and 3-D media, creating brush drawings of plants and figurative sculptures.
