Huntington Avenue Entrance
State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance

Please enter through the Huntington Avenue Entrance or State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance. Both are convenient ways to enter at the heart of the Museum and easily access the collections and the centrally located Sharf Visitor Center. Both entrances are fully accessible with ramps and power assist doors.

The Linde Family Wing Entrance on Museum Road is for schools, groups, and visitors with disabilities.

Parking Options

Self Parking Options: Visitors to the MFA have three self-parking options: the Huntington Lot, the Fenway Lot, and the Museum Road Garage, all of which have entrances on Museum Road. The Huntington lot offers closer parking to the Huntington Avenue Entrance and the Fenway parking lot is more accessible to the State Street Corporation Fenway Entrance.

All parking facilities have handicap spaces.

Please take your parking ticket with you; all parking facilities are automated. Payment for parking may be made in the garage lobby, or by credit or debit card at the exit lanes of the lots. Scan your membership card to receive the discounted rate.

Pre-Pay for Parking If Your Visit Is 6 Hours or More

After parking your car, take your ticket with you and proceed to the parking pay stations located in the ground-level elevator lobby of the Museum garage. The pay stations accept either cash or credit card and issue you a receipt.

Before inserting your ticket, press the Prepay button. Members: scan your membership card to receive a discount. Follow the instructions on the screen. Your ticket will be valid until the garage closes at 11 pm. Keep your ticket with you; you will need it to exit the garage.

Red Sox and Fenway Event Parking

Avoid Fenway gridlock. Get in early to beat the crowds. Fenway Park is a short 5-minute walk across the Fens footbridge from the MFA. Go Sox!

Parking in the MFA garage and surface lots is available throughout the Red Sox season. MFA members receive discounted rates, so fans never pay more than $15/game!

Members’ Rates for Fenway Event Parking

Daily Rates valid 6 am–5:30 pm: $15
Evenings after 5:30 pm: $13

Members must scan member cards to receive discount. Parking is on a first come-first served basis.

The MFA garage and surface lots will remain open one hour after the end of all games.

Reserve Parking Online—Know Before You Go!

As one of the most reasonable Fenway event rates around, we expect parking to fill. You can guarantee having a space waiting for you by purchasing your parking in advance. Reserve parking online at www.parking4fenway.com. Member discount does not apply to online purchases.

Bike Racks

Bike racks are available outside the Huntington and Fenway entrances, in the parking garage, and in both surface lots on Museum Road.

Public Transportation

Take the T!

Public Transportation Because our limited parking fills up quickly—especially during popular exhibitions, holidays, and school vacation weeks—we encourage you to take advantage of the MBTA, Boston’s public transportation system (known by natives as the “T").

Subway

Take the Green Line E train to the Museum of Fine Arts stop, or the Orange Line train to the Ruggles stop.

Bus

Take the 39 bus to the Museum of Fine Arts stop, or the 8, 47, or CT2 buses to the Ruggles stop.

Driving Directions

Driving from the North

Driving from the North:
Take Interstate 93 South or Route 1 South to Storrow Drive.
Take the exit off Storrow Drive marked Kenmore Square/Fenway Route 1S.
Stay in the left lane and take the Fenway exit.
Turn left at the first traffic light (at the sign marked Boylston St. Inbound/Fenway) and immediately bear right onto Fenway Drive.
Proceed through another set of traffic lights, and as you approach the next intersection (flanked by a pair of stone pillars), turn right onto Hemenway Street.
At the end of Hemenway, turn left onto Forsythe Way and then immediately right onto Huntington Avenue.
The Museum will be on your right. Continue past the Museum and turn right onto Museum Road to reach our parking areas.

Driving from the South

Take Interstate 93 North to exit 18, marked Mass. Avenue/Roxbury.
Follow the signs along the exit ramp for Mass. Avenue, but continue straight on Melnea Cass Boulevard for 1.3 miles.
Turn left onto Tremont Street, and at the second traffic light (0.1 miles) turn right onto Ruggles Street.
Continue on Ruggles Street for 0.4 miles, crossing Huntington Avenue.
At the next traffic light, turn right onto The Fenway (marked Evans Way to the left), and take the next immediate right onto Museum Road to reach our parking areas.

Driving from the West

Driving from the West:
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90 East) to exit 22, marked Prudential Center/Copley Square.
Stay to the left side of the exit ramp, following the signs marked Prudential (West 9).
This exit ramp connects to Huntington Avenue. Continue on Huntington Avenue for 0.8 miles, moving to the left or center lane after the first traffic light to use the underpass below Massachusetts Avenue.
The Museum will be on your right. Continue past the Museum and turn right onto Museum Road to reach our parking areas.

Driving from Logan International Airport

Driving from Logan International Airport:
Follow the signs for the airport exit and look for I-90 W/I-93 S/Williams Tunnel/Mass Pike and merge onto I-90 W for 2.1 miles.
Take exit 24 for I-93 for 1 mile and continue on the ramp and merge onto I-93 S (0.9 mile).
Take exit 20 toward Brighton/Cambridge. Keep left at the fork and reverse directions by following signs for Boston and merge onto I-90 E.
Take exit 22 toward Prudential Ctr/Copley Square.
Keep left at the fork and merge onto Huntington Avenue.
The Museum will be on your right. Continue past the Museum and turn right onto Museum Road to reach our parking areas.
