The Museum offers self-guided and guided tour options of the Museum’s collections and special exhibitions. To avoid crowds, we suggest that you visit during the weekday, afternoon hours.
For reservations, please complete our online request form at least four weeks prior to your preferred dates. You will receive an email confirmation. For cancellations, changes, or more information, e-mail groups@mfa.org or call 617-369-3310.
Guided Tours
Trained guides lead one-hour guided tours. All requests are subject to guide availability. There is no maximum size limit for Adult groups, however we suggest no more than 25 visitors per guide.
Self-Guided Visits
Groups are welcome to discover the Museum on their own. There is no time limit on your visit.
MFA Guides
Our touch screen guides provide in-depth information throughout the Museum, including special exhibitions. The guide is available for rent in English, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, German, and Russian.

$18 Seniors/non-University member students
Free for University members.
Please note that individual memberships and other discounts are not valid toward Group Admission.
Guided Tour
Guiding fee of $150 (groups of 15 or under) or $10 per person (groups of more than 15) plus admission cost.
